A:SpeedChat Plus is a form of type chat that allows users to communicate by using the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary. Words that are not in the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary will be highlighted in red. You then have the opportunity to choose alternative words prior to sending your message. Once SpeedChat Plus has been enabled, you can start using SpeedChat Plus in-game by typing words on your keyboard -- or -- by clicking on the blue Chat button in the upper-left corner of the play screen. Your chat options, including SpeedChat Plus, can be managed through the Preferences section of Member Services by using your Parent Password. A:SpeedChat Plus, along with your other chat options, is managed through the Preferences section of Member Services by using your Parent Password.

If you are a Subscribing Member with a Parent Password -- follow these steps to activate SpeedChat Plus:

1. Log into Toontown and click on the Preferences option in Member Service.
2. Select SpeedChat Plus on the Chat Options page, enter your Parent Password and click OK to activate SpeedChat Plus. If you forget your Parent Password, please click here to retrieve it.
3. Log in again and play!

If you are a Game Card player or a Free player -- follow these steps to activate SpeedChat Plus:

1. Log into Toontown and accept the Terms of Use by clicking Continue.
2. On the Chat Preferences page, select Request SpeedChat Plus and click Continue. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the parent e-mail address linked to your account.
3. Open this e-mail, and click the Activate button to add this feature to your Chat Preferences.
4. You will then be asked to set up a Parent Password for your account. Once you have entered your new Parent Password, click the Next button to continue.
5. Select SpeedChat Plus on the Chat Options page, enter your new Parent Password and click OK to activate SpeedChat Plus.
6. Log in again and play!

A:Once SpeedChat Plus has been enabled, you can start using SpeedChat Plus in-game by typing words on your keyboard -- or -- by clicking on the blue Chat button in the upper-left corner of the play screen. Use the blue chat window to enter your text. Words that are not in the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary will be highlighted in red. You then have the opportunity to choose alternative words prior to sending your message. Your messages are viewable to all who have SpeedChat Plus enabled within your vicinity. If you are whispering to a specific player, only that player will see your message. You can reply to SpeedChat Plus whispers by either clicking on the whispered text window or by selecting the Toon and choosing the Whisper option in the Toon Panel.

If another player is being rude or disruptive, you can use the in-game Ignore feature to not see this players' chat for the rest of your logged in play session. To learn more about the Ignore feature, please click here. However, if you experience any un-Toon like behavior, which may be in violation of the Disney House Rules, you can use the in-game Report button to send the chat to a Moderator for review. A:Players who have both SpeedChat Plus and Open Chat with True Friends enabled can communicate with other players according to those players' chat preferences. For example:

• If the player you are chatting with only has SpeedChat Plus, they will only see words from the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary. Words not in the dictionary will be displayed in italics, and replaced with animal sounds.
• If the player you are chatting with is your True Friend, you can chat openly through Open Chat with True Friends. Open Chat with True Friends whispers will only be viewable by the True Friend you are whispering to.
• When chatting openly with multiple True Friends at once (non-whisper chat) -- all words in your chat that are also in the Disney SpeedChat Plus dictionary will be viewable to any non-True Friend player within your vicinity if they have SpeedChat Plus enabled. Words displayed in italics are not in the SpeedChat Plus dictionary.
